The Burberry Autumn / Winter 2012 collection is fashion patriotism at it's finest. Quintessentially chic and sophisticated Burberry with a quirky nod towards street style. Featuring cropped bomber jackets, bow-tie belts cinching in peplum-cut waists with a range of accessories including gloves and umbrellas fully loaded with studs, doctor bags with animal head door-knockers and herringbone flat caps all displaying elements characteristic of the city.
The campaign, starring singer Roo Panes and up-and-coming actress Garbriella Wilde take centre-stage in the London-themed photographs and short films with aim to celebrate Britishness.
“We wanted to play with everything that’s at the heart of the Burberry world — celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way,” Chief Creative Officer for Burberry - Christopher Bailey
Ending in a typical whimsical and fanciful final foray, a clap of thunder and lightening followed by a downpour of rain over the glasshouse tent situated in Kensington Gardens added to the perfect finale which showcased the array of studded umbrellas.
